Apart from visiting Downtown Vancouver and Whistler City, we also went to Victoria Island! We actually didn’t plan to go there but since we’re already in BC, why not visit the place.

“Victoria is the capital of British Columbia”

How to get there?

We woke up early in the morning and drive to downtown to rent a big car that will suits three families. There are different ways to get there,  you have to use Scheduled Bus, City Bus, By Car, Plane or Helicopter. This time we used a car and we also took RORO system (Roll on, Roll off) via BC ferry. We cruised for 1 hour and 30 mins but it was all worth it. Fortunately,  we had a chance to go to the upper deck part of the boat. To tell you honestly it was BEAUTIFUL, I really enjoy the whole ferry ride. It was wonderful, stunning sceneries, Fresh air and more. We also saw group of boats on the way for whale watching. (Part of my bucket list :))

Note:  Reservation is highly recommended especially on summer days.

Highlights of our trip!!

I’m really amazed with the structure of the building, they made the design very detailed, I’m not an architect but I can say that they made it perfectly because, until now the building reflects the whole Victoria’s history. Two thumbs up! 🙂

Royal London Wax Museum

RLWM they presents Royalties and other famous historical personalities. Sad to hear that they will close it for good and will turn it into pub.

I’m so disappointed when I heard that. RLWM is located in front of the parliament building which coincides to be a cultural/historical place and yet they’ve decided to turn it into a pub.

We went there last May 2012, SPRING TIME!!!! Everything is EXTRAVAGANT. Flowers are all bloomed. Perfect weather, but incase of sudden change in weather, they will let you borrow umbrella. Pathways are visible, you’ll not get lost. If you really want to escape the city life for a moment, this will be the perfect place for you to re-connect with the nature. If you’re looking for the perfect place for photoshoot, I recommend this place.

These are the place we visited for 2 days and 1 night, and It’s not enough. I want to discover more of the place, definitely I’m going back in the future.

I want to hear your story too! if you have any discoveries, exploration of the place or if I miss something to the place, please let me know, comment down below and I’ll read it! and if you want to ask questions please feel free to message me

  1. Very nice review! Seems like I need to take some time to visit more than the very big cities in Cananda when I’m flying over for the next time. Thank you for the lovely photos 🙂
